I need some book suggestions. I have just under eight weeks before classes start again & I'm forced to read about business stuff. I figure I can finish off a few more rounds of summer reading in that time. I currently have The Alchemist on my bookstand, courtesy of Lindsay, and am soliciting other recommendations. i'd go with Time Traveler's Wife (great, but sad) and also a novel called The Eight -- sort of a mystery/fantasty but not in a cheesy way, it's a light and quick summer read.
I, Claudius and the follow up, Claudius The God. Best books I've ever read, and the only books I've read twice.

"Three Cups of Tea" was good, though it took me a while to read it (probably b/c it was during the school year and I read nothing but crappy essays written by teenagers). Avoid "The Host."
I third Time Traveler's Wife and Three Cups of Tea...and add, Stardust.
The Book Thief (even when you look for this you'll be unsure, but let me say YOU MUST READ IT!)
